Getting to the Heart of the Matter with Abby Gooch

Carmel Valley resident Abby Gooch, 23, has the flowing presence of Phoebe from the TV series “Friends.”
“The universe always will support what you want, Gooch said, seated in the small garden by her office. So, you must decide what you want. My job as intuitive coach is to find what you do the best. We always know the answer.”
Gooch is an intuitive success coach with her own company, Life Force Connection. Her office is at the Solana Beach design district, on South Cedros Avenue.
Friendly, smiling, and, yes, enthusiastic, during the conversation, Gooch often closes her eyes to connect better with the person in front of her. She signs all of her emails with love or with joy, Abby and, after meeting her in person, one is left with the feeling that she really means it.
With hummingbirds in the courtyard, it is, according to Gooch, a place to come for calm and tranquility; and provides a space for you to open your heart, she said.
“Intuitive success coaching process is assessing, or using, the wisdom of your heart to heal, create and become the person that you want to be the fullest expression of you, to heal and create the life you desire,” Gooch said.
“I take the people to their own inner journey where they can connect with themselves, and their hearts’ desire through remembering how to feel good,” Gooch added.
Gooch is not afraid to ask straight questions of her clients, existing and prospective, such as “What is it that you want?” People tell her their deepest desires, she said, because when they come to her, they already feel that they want something more.
Before every meeting with a client, Gooch prepares for work through meditation. After they meet, new clients fill out a form in which they are asked to describe briefly their current issue, or concern: What they expect to achieve, the vision that they have for their life in their career, finances, health and wellness, relationships to self and others, recreation and personal life.
And, as with every business relationship, the clients have to be ready to pay the asked price. The intuitive success coaching session costs $ 120 per hour, but Gooch’s clients say its worth the price. “I have been working with Abby almost three months,” said Steven Downs, an engineer by training. “I’ve been looking to get involved in a business venture, and I’ve been hitting some blocks.”
However, “My business doubled in two-to-three sessions, Downs added.”
According to Gooch, she directs people to experiencing what their desires feel like—almost physically, in their body—so they later may use every opportunity to achieve that feeling.
And, it seems, the opportunities come to them naturally, or rather, they know how to recognize them, according to Gooch.
Gooch uses several workbooks in her spiritual lessons. The Magic of Success, Financial Freedom teaches how your energy radiates outward from your physical self. The first level is physical, followed by emotional, mental, and spiritual, or higher consciousness awareness, levels.
First, one needs to set his, or her, intentions, or to plant the seed by answering questions. These include: What do you really want? Why do you want it? How will you know you have it? What will it feel like? What inspires you to move forward? There also are questions relating to money, and to life in general.
After discerning a person’s primary intention, Gooch sets out to the business of “balancing the inside, aspects of you” by experiencing how it is going to feel when the goal is accomplished.
Gooch’s clients have to figure out how they are going to stay committed. They list possible distractions and discuss how to know to avoid the pitfalls and stay focused.
“There is no way to fail,” Gooch says. “Each experience is a lesson that has the potential to teach us how to create a new higher, fuller vision of ourselves and the world. All the answers to what you are seeking are inside of you.
We are born magnificent beings of light and expressions of pure love,” Gooch said. “Our job is not to believe in negativity around us, but rather to acknowledge the light with us.”
Born at Brookings on Oregon's southernmost Pacific coast, Gooch said she had a wonderful childhood. She learned about inner respect, and being clear about what is important in life at a very early age.
But, as with almost every one of us, some people said things to her that hurt her emotionally, Gooch said. She healed herself through connecting to spirituality, to life. And she wants to pass that to others.
Gooch uses techniques such as neuro-linguistic programming, hypnotherapy, massage therapy, Reiki / Chakra balancing, and yoga to help clients achieve their highest potential. “Let your light shine,” she says. “Be great.”
